Advent Day 4

>> Sunday, December 4, 2011

We have some wonderful friends that we love and they love and adore the girls.  We call them Bro & Sis.  They play games online with hubby and the girls.  They've done this for years!

Each year they send us such special gifts and we love each gift but we love Bro and Sis more.  Today, the girls wanted to make them feel extra special so for advent day 4 we made cards to send to them.  It's Sunday so the cards won't actually get picked up until tomorrow but that was still today's special service, donation, or gift.

Advent day 2

>> Friday, December 2, 2011

Today we decided to bless a little child by donating to the Shepherd's Shop.  It's ran by a local church by all volunteers and the prices are so cheap it's unreal.  I buy there often, myself.  They also help people in need at no cost.  So, I thought someone will definitely be blessed to find a few good toys waiting there just for them.

Each girl chose a toy that they could let go of to bless another child.  Hannah Joy gave one she still plays with but she said yes on giving it.
It was cute while we were there because she didn't quite understand what we were doing.  She kept asking them to put batteries in it.  lol  She left it with no fuss though.  God is good~!
As we were leaving the sweet lady (we know her), Ms. Suzie, tried to give them something to drink from the soda machine.  I told her they couldn't receive something for giving.  She said she understood and could she give them drinks the next time we were in their shopping.  I told her that would be wonderful!

I love this time of year.  Even little things, like we did today, will bless someone.  If everyone joined in, can you imagine how many people would be blessed around the whole world?
All Smiles,

Advent Day 1

>> Thursday, December 1, 2011

Today is the 1st day of Advent!
How very exciting!
The time to celebrate Jesus' birth is near!!!

Today we decided our first blessing to others would be to my parents because it is their 26th anniversary!  We are so blessed to have Mom & Dad.
So, we started the day out at my sister, KJ's house.
We love to go there and hang out with her and her boys!!  Cousins play and Sisters visit!
We decided to make them fudge and let each child make a card.  Here all the children are making their special cards to their GiGi & PaPa!

The fudge is in the center with a bow and little tied on card.  Around the fudge is every child's card.

Then they went outside to play.  Here Madi Grace is playing games on my phone relaxing.

Here are the rest of the children playing in the dirt, one of their favorite things to do, for sure!
Then, we all went to deliver the gift and cards to GiGi and PaPa.  They were blessed by it!

It was nice that on our first day of Advent we could start off all together doing this as cousins.  It was also wonderful that we were able to bless our parents on the first day of Advent.

More days to come of blessing others during Advent.  If you have *free* ideas we could do, Please SHARE!  We'd love to hear some more ideas.  Blessings!

We Love Advent!! And Serving Others as Unto God!

>> Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Today, we all worked together to get the house nice & tidy.
We ate lunch, finished school, and started what we were doing for Advent today.  (We did two things)
First, we made muffins for the neighbor.

Thanks Tamara!!!!!!!
.........look at my girls - they are so precious........
They were Blueberry Muffins!  Mmmmm!
They turned out perfectly and we put them on a plate.

Sarah Faith posed in front of the Christmas tree before we walked over, LOL!  I thought she looked so cute!

We carried them to Ms. Nan and she was so delighted and happy!
 I love this sweet picture.

LOL!  As Sarah Faith marched back up our stairs, I could see the other two girls dancing in the living room so silly!

Check Madi Grace out!  LOL!  :)  So funny!
((Hannah Joy ran off when we came in))
If you would like this "hair do" then just get crazy with dancing!
hee hee.....

Then, everyone was craving fudge so I ran to the store to get what I needed to make it.  They were out of my key ingredient so I just got everyone some candy and a nice little surprise for Hannah - PANTIES!  Tomorrow, she is going to be wearing panties, happy or not.  It's time she potty train and Mama is determined.  I got side tracked when she broke her arm because she couldn't hold onto the handles of her little potty that sits on the big potty.  (Dora I might add)  But now that it's well...."Mama's back with the panties!"  lol

So on the way out of Wal Mart we donated to the Salvation Army - where the sweet people ring the bells.  It felt good to stuff money in there.

Here are the girls with their Sour P@tch K!ds!  lol
What a fun day!

An Advent Day that was So Special!

>> Monday, December 6, 2010

We have made friends with a lady who just lost her home to a house fire.  She lost everything...but her daughter, Cheyenne!
Praise God she and Cheyenne got out safely.
The girls wanted to make Cheyenne a little something for Advent.
So, they sat down and made paper dolls for her.
They worked very hard.
They wanted them to be EXTRA special!!!!!!

They shared ideas on what they were making and all sorts of stuff.
It took a very long time and lots of creativity and work....  but here is what they came up with and I was super proud of their hearts desire and their diligent work.. to make it special.

My girls are so generous, giving and loving.
I am a Thankful Mommy!

Another precious day of Advent!

Sorry, I'm having to catch up on posts tonight.
I've been under the weather!  Feeling better tho!
Praise the Lord!

OK, so the church is having a lunch box drive and all of the children have been invited and encouraged to participate.
The girls decided they wanted to buy food for babies.
So, Sarah told me to get vegetable baby food and Madi Grace told me to get fruits.  I chose baby cereals for Hannah Joy to take.

Here they are excited about their food to donate!
Praise Our Father in Heaven we are able to do this.
May these foods bless some precious baby.

Here is a full view.  They decorated the tree so nicely!
And for my precious friend, Tamara, another beautiful dress she sent to Hannah.  THANK YOU!

In this last picture, I tried to pose her but she wouldn't have it.
She posed HERSELF!  lol  ;)
BLESSINGS!!!!!

the finished perfectly on time garlic bread!
Mmmm!!!
We all sat down and ate at the dinner table as a family!
We thanked Madi and blessed her while saying the  blessing!
It was wonderful cooking with her!!

And for my precious friend, Tamara, here is a pic of LiL Miss Hannah Joy wearing a precious dress she sent to her!
THANK YOU TAMARA!  The bottom of the dress has cording the same color as the top.  It's adorable on her and she loves it!
She was fresh out of a bath so her hair is wet, excuse that please!  :)

Today - 2nd Day of Advent

>> Thursday, December 2, 2010

Today we sent a family that just had their house burned down to the ground a small amount of money (what we had we could give) through paypal.  The girls asked about things they could buy with that and so we shared about all of that.
I pray the family gets a blessing from it.

Yesterday - Our 1st day of Advent

Each girl painted a wooden frame to be given to their new friends.  They worked very hard on this and I think they turned out well.
We actually did 2 "services unto God" yesterday.
They also painted a picture each to be sent to someone special.
They already know the verse I've told them  a million times that every thing you do for someone else is like doing it for God.  This was a great way for them to SEE THEMSELVES doing it.
(another example today is that Madi Grace made lunch and I reminded her again that her making the lunch was like feeding God)

Here are some pictures from yesterday:

This is how well they turned out!  I was so pleased!
 Hannah Joy's.

Madi Grace's.

Sarah Faith's.

Then, they painted the pictures and here they are!
Hannah Joy's.

Sarah Faith's.
(love the hand prints and the girl with her arms up praising she loves God!)
ALL turned out great though!!!!!

Madi Grace's.
Her girl was decorating a tree.
Look at the girl's stocking feet!
So cute!

We all had a wonderful time knowing we were going to bless GOD by blessing someone other than ourselves!
