God has blessed us again!

>> Wednesday, July 4, 2012

God has carried us through about 9  months at home.  We've been through our savings and have had just his unemployment.  We bought a house just before we came home from Kenny's job in Dallas.  We have trusted God to provide for us and He has, sometimes in ways that are just unexplainable.  He is so good to us in every way.  He provides for His children and blesses them.

We are tired of traveling with his job.  We came home to our new house (new to us house) which is beautiful.  We wanted to stay and do no more traveling.

It's been wonderful living by family and getting to be "back home".  We've spent time with everyone, including friends!  I wanted us to be able to put some "roots" down.  I wanted a home that my children would remember growing up in and would want to come back "home" to.  I wanted them to feel nastalgic as they come back home for visits when they are grown - just the way I do about my home growing up.  Just like I feel at my Nanny's house.  I wanted to "give" this to my children.  So, my sweet husband (feeling the same about wanting to stay home) started applying to jobs.  He kept getting answers back that he was "over qualified"  or no answer at all.

Then, God sent us another blessing.  There was a job open that a friend told us about.  He's a manager in the job but not one that can hire.  He took Kenny's resume in and immediately the owner told HR to get him on the phone.  A few weeks later he was called for an interview.  Then some time went along.  I kept FEELING GOD'S PEACE about the job.  We didn't know that he would get it or not.  But, that PEACE that surpasses understanding kept filling my heart.  And, I knew, no matter what - GOD was going to supply our needs even if they came from odd places like they have during this time.

Well, he got the call!  God blessed us again!  He got the job!  He starts in 2 weeks!  We were all so thrilled that we just kept praising GOD and thanking our Lord, God, that He chose to give us this job when jobs are so few and far between here in our little town.  He starts out a little under what we wanted but it will meet our needs!  PRAISE GOD!  After 90 days he will make what we were wanting!

Our Lord is so amazing!  He has taken care of us and blessed us so much!  We are so thankful, so grateful!  We get to stay home, rebuild our lives here as we have already taken up the pieces we had left behind by traveling.  We get to enjoy our parents and our children love seeing their grandparents.  Plus we have our siblings and their children and so much more.

Keep your faith.  We used to have a sticker in our old house on the bathroom that said, "Walk by FAITH; not by sight!"  Keep that in mind and keep praising God as you go through things and watch Him take you to the other side.

We feel and know we have received a miracle.
May we never lose sight of it!
Thank you, Lord!!

Hannah's First day of Team Kids

>> Thursday, February 16, 2012

Yesterday was Hannah Joy's First day at Team Kids at Church!

To remember her first day, I took a picture of her with two precious people in our lives that run Team Kids in our church.
(I will be starting to help in 2 weeks!)

This is the thing that Hannah does independently without Mom or Dad.  We know everyone there and feel safe with her there.  Plus, I'll be helping there soon.  But, I wanted her to learn more about Jesus, enjoy fellowship with other children her age more, learn to respect and obey other people's authority and have "her" little special time once a week where she's got a little independence.

She did great!  They went to a retirement place called Amanda Square and passed out little valentines even tho they were a day late to do so.  The girls (all 3 go --  Madi and Sarah have been going for awhile!)  said she did wonderful and was the best kid there.  The teacher said she did super!  I'm so glad she went and did well!
She was super excited and ready to go back already as we were leaving!  lol  :) :)

Our Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a wonderful day!!!  We did many things and really enjoyed our day.  The kids even baked some goodies for us!!

See the lamp?  That came from my sweetheart!

My Valentine also got me a MUCH NEEDED new Family Board.  We use this for prayer requests and for scripture memory and as reminders sometimes!  :)  My other one had given up on me and I was so needing another one!  Yayyyyy!

Here's all the girls candies and valentine animals.  Madi Grace got a blingy "friends" frame instead of a stuffy.  Talk about a ton of candy!  Whew!!  What was Daddy thinking?  ;)

Here the girls are getting into their candy!  Our cat, Asher, was also trying to share some of Hannah's treats!  lol

The girls made a homemade treat for Mom & Daddy for Valentine's.  It had chocolate rice crispies and peanut butter in it but it was very similar to rice crispy treat.  Sarah Faith is here getting the peanut better ready while she waits for Madi to get the corn syrup and sugar boiling.

Madi Grace was stirring away trying to get the ingredients boiling.  She found the recipe online and wrote it down and went to making it.  I was very impressed with the girls!

Here Madi Grace is pouring her mixture over the crispies cereal.
I don't know why my picture didn't come out right at the bottom.  :(

Hannah Joy even helped by licking the spoon clean!  lol  ;)

Here they are hurriedly putting them into the muffin pans to mold them into round shapes.  :)  (no cutting them into squares needed!)

Our special valentine gift from our dear children with handmade beautiful cards.  I wish I had taken a pic of them as well!

We finished off by Mommy bringing home balloons!

While typing this my Dad just called to wish us a happy valentine's!  And, my bio dad also told us happy valentine's.  Now, Kenny's parents have called and are bringing the girls a valentine.  WOW!

We are SO HAPPY!!!!!

We have been back home for one week today!

I have TONS of pictures I need to upload and post from our first week here.  It's been great!  We've visited family and friends (not all of them yet :))  We've played, still unpacking, still decorating, still enjoying just the fresh air of our own home!
The girls have been outside enjoying our huge yard nonstop while we're at home!  In fact, they are out there right now.  And, it's been coooold!  The girls have on long sleeves, jeans and zipped up jackets.  They have a ball, frizbee and a big stick outside, nothing else.  We want them to use their creativity to come up with things to do and games to play, etc..  They have done so well!!  We are going to buy something big for outside soon but right now it's just great seeing them play out their imagination.  They've been so used to playing electronics that they need this!

I'm enjoying doing the dishes, the laundry, cleaning up and decorating and much more.  Of course my favorite thing has been visiting with family and friends!  :)
We feel so blessed to be at home.  It is my prayer that God will open the doors where my husband can leave his job where we have to travel and blesses him with a job where we can make what we need to and be able to stay home.  I just am so tired of traveling.  My husband and girls are too.  Please pray for us concerning this.  :)

I will be blogging again often now that I have things to actually blog about, lol!  :)
Big, Happy Smiles!!

Mother's Day 2011 :)

What an amazing Mother's Day!
I got a new camera I had been wanting for a while now!  I love it!!!!  I have enjoyed "playing with it" and also capturing some great memories.

On Mother's Day we went to the Scarborough Renaissance Festival!
It was awesome!  Here are 3 of my girls with their faces painted.  We really had so much fun!

This was our view as we walked up to the entrance.  (might I add, a long, long walk, lol)

This was part of the scenery.  A little band playing near the trees.

This is Madi Grace with the lady who painted her face!  She was a super nice lady.  My hubby is laughing hard in the back ground as you can see because I asked her to cover her cleavage for the picture.  OK, maybe that was too bold?

Isn't she adorable?!?!

Sarah Faith :)  I'm lovin' it!

Miss Hannah Joy :)
Each girl got to choose their own painting.
Hannah Joy got wild with it, I think!  hee hee!!

I got a scarf that becomes a wrap!  It's so kewl ;)  And I got my hair braided into this beautiful creation of braided hair and pieces running into each other to finally create a bun.  It also had beautiful pink and yellow flowers throughout!  :)

My awesome girls :)

My wonderful husband relaxing :)

My crew leaving......
It was an awesome day!!!
I LOVE being a Mommy!

Today 2 of my girls were Baptised!

>> Sunday, March 13, 2011

Today, two of my precious daughters were baptised.  Madi Grace & Sarah Faith.  I feel so blessed, SO THANKFUL!  It was a very special time and a special day.

My husband's parents came up to see the girls be baptised even though my FIL has just finished chemo for Stage 2 Lymphoma.
He is HEALED by the way!  PRAISE GOD ALMIGHTY!

They got here and of course we're slow so we were still getting ready.  They brought donuts and the girls had breakfast which was wonderful!!

Then, we went to church.
Towards the end of the service it was time for the baptisms.

Madi Grace is walking down to join her sister in the baptistry.
They were baptised together.
In this picture he is sharing about how quiet Sarah Faith was during their time together as he made sure she understood baptism.  He shared how even in her quietness he was able to tell she did fully understand.  He said a few more words and it was really special.

Here Sarah Faith is coming up out of the water signifying a new beginning in life... a life with Jesus.

As you can see here, Madi Grace is coming up out of the water signifying that new life as well.  She thinks it's a funny picture because of the look on her face but she is literally just coming up out of the water.  I think it's precious!

Afterwards, we took everyone to eat at "Babes" which is a special place we love here and thought they would enjoy.  We all did!
Sadly, after we all ate, we had to say goodbye as they had to go  back home.

We had come home from the restaurant and one little turkey of mine had gotten back into the doughnuts!  hee hee!  I bet you can guess just which turkey it was!  Yep!  Hannah Joy!  LoL!

Silly girl, we adore you!

At the restaurant, Nonna & Popaw had given the girls a sack.  It had candy in it and a very special bracelet for Madi & Sarah.  They were even so thoughtful as to put in a Hermie movie for Hannah.  We love Hermie here and we didn't have that one!  Very sweet!
Above Sarah Faith is showing her purple bracelet on her wrist.

Here is an upclose view of it.  It's beautiful and had a heart with a pretty bling on it.  She really loves it!

Here Madi Grace is wearing her special bracelet for me!
Yes, both of their hair dried wild but I forgot to take a brush to the church.  Oops!

Here is an upclose of her beautiful dove with a bling in it.. such a pretty bracelet and she LOVES hers too!!!

After we came home from the restaurant, I ran to Wal Mart to get picture frames and to get my pictures printed.  Then, I ran by Michael's to get ones to paint for their room.
Here my precious husband has hung my pictures for me already.
The collage frame is from their baptism and then the single picture is of Kenny, the girls and his parents that turned out so nice.

I plan to paint their frames and add crosses to them tonight - the ones I got from Michael's for their rooms.

What a BLESSED day!
PRAISE GOD INFINATELY!!
